Sixteen
Year Old British Karting ace Kazeem Manzur
races for Team Zanardi, a team set up by Team
Principal Dino Chiesa and F1 Star and twice
Champ Car Champion Alex Zanardi, to race in
the new Premier KF1 Class (Old Formula A).
In Previous years Kazeem has won the Pomposa
International Cup (previously won by drivers
such as Lewis Hamilton and Robert Kubica)
and has had numerous wins and pole positions
in the Italian Open Championships. He finished
4th in 2005 and 2006 in the Italian Open Masters,
widely considered to be the toughest karting
series in the World. In 2006 Kazeem also competed
in the new WSK International series and finished
on the Championship podium in 3rd place.
Kazeem is managed by Dino Chiesa, who has
a long and successful karting history with
teams such as CRG and DC ONE and has been
responsible for creating multiple European
and World Champions Danilo Rossi and Alessandro
Manetti. Furthermore he has managed the karting
careers of Williams F1 driver Nico Rosberg
and the new Mclaren Formula 1 driver, Lewis
Hamilton.
In 2007 Kazeem has been the official KF1 Driver
for Engine Manufacturer, IAME. and has competed
in the Italian Open Masters, The European
KF1 Championship, The World Championship,
The World Cup in Suzuka and The French FFSA
Championship. He was the only driver in 2007
who made the leap straight from ICA-Junior
to the premier class of Karting KF1. Despite
being the youngest driver in the category
Kazeem has impressed with some incredible
performances against the best drivers in the
karting world.
Kazeem who is 16 is currently living and studying
in Florence, Italy, where he will continue
to be based as he develops his racing career
over the next few years. |
